The Dad!

Yesterday was all about Dad! Jacob and I woke up and couldn't wait to give Tyler his father's day gifts! Tyler loved his collage of pictures of him and Jacob all framed up for the house, and his new picture frame to take to work with a real nice picture of him and Jacob! (holy run on sentence much!) We also got Ty a new "bathroom" read , a novel about the Hells angels in eastide vancouver. Well look at that, Ty actually walked downstairs with the book right now, looks like it might be even better than just a bathroom read!But then again, i am watching the Bachelorette...


So we headed off to Vancouver to watch the Canadian's game fairly soon after i cleaned up from Tylers All star breakfast. Jacob was fairly well behaved at the game...i think he was hungry and we didn't bring enough food for him (hense the pretzle!).  We left in the 8th inning as we wanted to beat the traffic nightmare that would result soon after. The canadians won 4-0 so go vancouver go!

We headed home and Tyler needed a cat nap, so Jacob and i stayed downstairs and did some much needed reading and play time with one another. I do have to say that as much as i love my job and love being back at work, i sure do miss being able to spend the day just hanging out with him and playing and watching him learn and explore. Sometimes it seems like we've always got something planned as there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done!

After our dinner out, we went to the pool and had a nice swim with Jacob! He sure loves the water, and just splashed his way around like he owned the place! We gave him a few dunks under the water and he did fantastic, Jacob even pulled out some big kicks on his back for me too!


This week is pretty low key, expcept for the fact that Tyler won VIP concert tickets to Rhianna this Saturday night! Whoo! It pays to enter contests at the mall apparently! We get a private suite and all you can eat food at the concert...for free! Love it! My mom's gonna watch Jacob for us while we have a night out! This is the first time in a loooong time that we're actually going out together, i hope we don't fall asleep!

 Jacob's been having a real runny nose lately so i'm thinking he's got some teeth coming in again, poor guy! His one year molars aren't in yet, but i'm sure they're on their way!
