Does anyone have some kleenex?

The lack of posts lately have been a sole result of Jacob and his new found tooth! The little guy has been so whiney, snotty, and clingy! Last night he decided to wake up and have a party at 2:45 am and have a quick nap at 6am for 30 minutes...needless to say, today was a L-O-N-G DAY!

After the advice of a few people, Tyler and I bought a vicks humidifier for Jacob's room to help him breath a little better at night. We went with the cool air version on the advice of the pharmacist, but I did get the one with the menthol patch in it!! I can smell it down the hall, so i'm sure it will help!

Tomorrow I have the last installment of my emergency first aid and cpr class whoopee! I'm actually kind of excited as we're going to cover infant cpr....Jacob choking is my biggest fear! Once I'm all certified I think i'll feel a lot better about offering him chunks of food....if he eats them that is! The little man still loves his purees...however he's loving his Farleys that's for sure!

Jacob has his first birthday party on thursday, i'm pretty excited for him! There's gonna be lots of babies there so i hope he doesn't freak out and scream the whole time!

 We're going to be heading to the island this upcoming weekend, and it's going to be the first real night that I'm going to be away from Jacob. Tyler is going up to Courtenay on Saturday afternoon, and i'm going to Victoria for a girlfriends birthday dinner/bbq/. I am definitely embracing the time alone, but am a little apprehensive at the same time. Jacob does horrible away from home when it comes to sleeping, and im afraid for whats going to happen when i'm not there. I know he'll survive and be alive when I get there on Sunday evening, but it just breaks my heart to think he'll be crying. Tyler seems to think i wont last that long and will be up in the morning on Sunday....so we'll see ;)
