So after some shrill screams and tears, the big guy got some cuddles and was off again on his next adventure! Needless to say the injury didn't deter him and this morning he was back at it pulling himself up! Ah, babies. Gotta love 'em!
Technically, im back at work and on payroll in 2 weeks today! :( So to celebrate, i rocked Jacob to sleep for his nap this morning! Lucky kid!
We're still looking for a 2nd carseat for the daycare provider, and i've started to look at second hand ones...but i just get an uneasy feeling about it. How do you know that they haven 't been in an accident? Take the sellers word for it? I dunno about that....
Let's hope i can find another SK on sale again! That would be ideal!
The weather sucks here, it`s been raining for weeks it seems. We`re on day 3 of pouring rain, can`t wait to wake up again tomorrow and take part in day 4! Despite the rain, Jacob and I are gonna try and get out for a little stroll ...maybe up to Tims to get a treat... coffee with CREAM! Whoo!
This weekend Tyler and I went to Baby`s World and had our carseat looked at to ensure it was installed properly...and it wasn`t. The lady basically straddeled the carseat in the car and pulled, pushed, yanked and jumped on the carseat in every different angle. And now that car seat is not moving! Tyler and i had been having `problems`tightening the straps on the seat too, but we learned that they tighten in intervals, so now we know how to tighten the car seat without damaging the straps.
While we were there we checked out the latest Mountain buggy Urban Jungle strollers, and while i LOVE our stroller and can definitely feel and see the quality difference between ours and the new made in china ones, i absolutely love the sun hood on the new version. So we have the lady ordering us a new sun hood as it attaches to the 2009 model as well! So pumped! Now the shade completely moves and has a zip out sun visor mesh thing too, much better than ours! And the lady said it`s only $60, so how can we not!
We also went on quite the hunt to get our stroller tire fixed this weekend too. At first, it was just flat, but upon filling it, it was flat again 8 hours later, so we took it took it to a bike store to get a new air tube. Then 8 hours after that it was flat again. Upon further review, the rubber tire was ripped away from the wire on the insdie!!!! WTF! I think the place that we had the air tube replaced at ripped it, it was his 2nd day on the job, JERK! So i had two options, get a new tire, or order one from MB.com and wait 6 weeks without a stroller. So we got a new tire from a different bike shop. Don`t get me wrong, it`s still the same whell well and `rims` so to speak, just a new rubber tire around it...but when you look closely you can definitely see the difference. It`s a little bit of a thinner wheel too, but the stroller feels great now! I may go back and get the other 2 tires changed to be the same, but i haven`t decided yet.
Today on the agenda is cooking up some squash and pears for the big guy. I love how he`s taking part in eating his food not blended up now. It makes dinner time more fun! Although we have to be very careful as he likes to put way too much into his mouth and gag. One day he`ll learn! :)
