I made a nice breakfast for Ty and I, put Jacob down for his nap and then we were off to do some shopping! Ive been on the hunt for some pirate themed boy gifts for my friends sons' bday coming up this week, and I had marginal success today again! But we did find and purchase Jacob's next carseat! Actually, we didn't find it, I always knew where it was and wanted it but we installed it in the car today and bought it as it was on sale, gotta love a deal!
This is the bad boy Jacob will be in for a l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g time! :)
It's a Sunshine kids Radian XT, and I love it! I decided to go with the "funner" pattern as our car is all black inside and at least this won't be so boring, plus the black looked kinda ugly as it was a different black than our car seat color! The seat doesn't expire for 8 years (whoo!) Jacob can stay rear-facing until he's 45lbs, which he definitely will be...unless he's like 5 and 45lbs, then he can turn around, but at minimum he'll be 2! Way less chances of him being injured in the case of an accident this way, and that's what's most important. I was worried when we were about to install it that it wouldn't fit properly in the car(it has a reputation of not doing well in many types of vehicles) but the 'ol Mazda made it through, and it fit perfect with no adjustments necessary!
After our carseat purchase we did a little more shopping, went on a little drive and then came home to feed the big guy a bottle! We're almost completely weaned now, just one more feeding to go then he's all bottle!
A little V-day shot of the fam! Sorry Ty, your head didn't fully make it in any of the shots!
So tomorrow we go back to the doctor to review my blood test results and see if my thyroid meds are actually working. I feel exactly the same, but have started to lose weight, finally, thank God! Jacob also had some blood work done too and we'll see if there's any correlation between my results and his, let's hope not! Since he's been on formula now for 2 weeks, i swear he looks fatter! And man, does he EVER pee... A LOT! Before i added in the formula and started weaning he would have about 8-10 dirty diapers a day (he's up for about 10 hours during the day) and now, no joke, it's like 15!!! We bought a bigger size because at night he was peeing out and so far one night he still peed through, but one night he didn't! So who knows!
Jacob has discovered how to take apart his playmat now and thinks it's hilarious when I tell him "no". He listens to me and immediately stops what he's doing, laughs and waits until he thinks i'm not looking any more and goes back at it! Little devil, he's a smart boy :)
